Out of School Support
We understand that the responsibility to safeguard students doesn't stop whilst the school is closed. If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child during a school closure, please contact one of the following agencies.
For a child at risk of harm, being treated badly or not cared for adequately:
Contact the Staffordshire Integrated Front Door service by phoning 0300 111 8007 and select option 1.
If you need a contact outside of opening hours, please contact the Emergency Duty Team by phoning 0345 604 2886.
If a child is likely to suffer immediate harm, please call 999 without hesitation
For young adults struggling with mental health:
- Text SHOUT to 85258 to contact the Shout textline
- Call HOPELINE247 on 0800 068 4141 or the NHS on 111 and select option 2
- Contact Childline by using 1-2-1 chat or calling 0800 1111
- Call 116 123 to talk to Samaritans, or email: jo@samaritans.org for a reply within 24 hours
- Call the NHS Crisis line for mental health emergencies - 0800 0328 728 option 1, line is open 24/7
